Day three 24th Dec 2017 at the Pune Fashion Week, saw the finale by Nivedita Saboo…
The petite yet very articulate Nivedita started her journey in 2002. Nivedita’s style is extensive. She does not limit herself to being creative. She combines the old with the new in very novel ways. One has seen her creativity flow in every show she has been a part of. The Pune Fashion Week 2017 once again goes to prove it. Take a look at the gallery and you will know what I am saying. The Theme for this show was taken from the movie Interstellar…Be a Hero.
‘Want to experience the Modern Maharaja within?’ Get into a Rohit Kamra outfit. Regal, they are, originating from the Indian Cultural Heritage. Once again he blends the traditional with modernism. the Jodhpuri Jackets and Breeches have the touch of the Victorian Tradition and Indian Royalty.
‘Let your moods be expressed by your designs’… Santosh Kumar’s mantra. His vision is grand and his style maintains elegance and grandeur. His forte ranges from western, wedding, casuals, club wear, and resort wear.
A graduate from INIFD, and a post-graduate from Pearl Academy of Fashion, Jaipur, Kirti Agarwal, showcased her designs at the Vancouver Fashion Week, Canada, in 2005. Since then she has come a long way. At the Pune Fashion week, one could see the best of her talent.
Day 2, 23rd Dec. 2017, we had a show by ISAS, a makeup Institute, exhibiting some novel makeovers.
Amin Farista, with his ‘KHADI, IS YOUNG AND FOR THE YOUNG’ mission is bringing khadi to the malls. Pune Fashion Week witnessed his latest collection ‘Karishmatic Khadi’.
She creates embroideries with thread, beads, ribbons, and age-old Indian techniques is her passion. Shika Kothari a student of NIFT works from her studio in Pune.
Two brothers Gulam and Ali, lead the fashion men’s fashion movement in Pune and Dubai. They specialize in high end Western and Indian bespoke tailoring; following their leader their father. Pune Fashion Week saw some of their exquisite designs.
SILKEN MASQUERADE is what Ashok Maanay exhibited at the Pune Fashion Week. At 15 he was introduced to the world of fashion and colors. Over the years he has redefined fashion that has left an indelible impress on the hearts of many. He is known for his Traditional Indian wear, his handcrafted and organic designs.
Day 1, 22nd Dec, 2017…the evening commenced with the Cradle of Designers…INIFD, which has a global presence in 11 countries and 4 continents. What makes them stand out is their will to experiment, the enthusiasm to persevere, and the curiosity to want to know and learn more in order to grow.
He hails from the princely state of Rajasthan. For Sharad Yadav moving from a small town to a large city like Mumbai was a big step the in the right direction. A versatile designer who also loves to experiment with his designs has had an eventful journey this far. Yet, he very humbly says that he has just begun and has a long way to go.
Ginni Wadhwa prides herself on knowing and understanding the mind of every client she works with, thus drawing out their innermost fantasies. The label Ginni Wadhwa was launched in 2014 with the intent to offer the best to its customers.
The Gauthier of the East…Rina Dhaka… works for women WHO THINK. Her designs are adorned both in India and Internationally by Naomi Campbell, Uma Thurman, and Tara Palmer. She also has a retail outlet in Delhi.
